General - Use hired electrical equipment outside?

All mains voltage electrical equipment should be protected by an isolating transformer or RCD (Residual Current Device) when used outside. These are easily available at all good hardware shops. There is a risk of damage by rain and sunshine. The customer is responsible for ensuring electrical safety.
