Balloons - how long do helium filled balloons last?

Latex balloons will typically float for 12 - 15 hours in even warm room temperature.

Foil (Mylar) balloons will usually float for 3 - 7 days.   Sometimes the balloon may look deflated after a few hours in a cold room and full again when the room has warmed up.

Room environment in which the balloons are displayed and temperatures will affect floating times.  Balloons displayed outdoors will oxidise (go chalky andmay not last as long as the ones displayed indoors.  Balloons stored in a hot room may loose boyancy and/or expand and pop. 

It's best to inflate latex balloons with helium on the same day as the party. It should be done as late as possible because they will typically last 12 to 15 hours before they sink to the ground. 

If you want them to last longer, ask us about Hifloat sealing them. They will typically last up to 3 days with this treatment but its not possible to guarantee that every balloon will be OK. A small extra charge applies.
